Our journey into hosting has been an interesting one. When we first met in 2011, we were both already landlords, and to this day, we continue to manage long-term rentals. For years, we dreamed of owning a cozy cottage by the water, somewhere peaceful, surrounded by nature, where we could unwind, watch sunsets and make lasting memories.

In 2023, we were finally in a position to make that dream a reality. Being familiar with the area and the beauty of the Richibucto River, we knew the moment we saw this property for sale that it was the one. Surrounded by nature and full of potential, it felt like the perfect place to create a peaceful retreat. We then took the leap into short-term rentals and launched our very first cottage: Riverside Retreat.

About a year later, the neighbors moved on to their dream location, and we jumped at the rare chance to own the property next door. Just like that, our second cottage joined the family: Red Canoe Retreat. Now, we have two charming cottages side by side, perfect for hosting travelers like you!

Over time, we’ve come to appreciate all the little wonders this place has to offer. We have fallen even more in love with the rhythm of the seasons: the rich colors of autumn, the stillness of snowy winter days, and the peaceful mornings on the water in summer. The Richibucto River continues to captivate and inspire us. Each visit reminds us just how special this place really is.
