Both retreats sit side by side along the beautiful Richibucto River in Upper Rexton, New Brunswick.
• Riverside: 73 Wilson Road
• Red Canoe: 77 Wilson Road

Are these properties waterfront? 🌅
Yes! Both backyards are facing an inlet of the Richibucto River which provides for calm waters and no boat traffic.
• Riverside: 120 feet of waterfront with a small private beach.
• Red Canoe: 125 feet of waterfront with a boat launch and dock.

What are the roads like? 🛣️
We are easily accessible year-round via paved roads. Wilson Road is a dirt road and may get muddy in the spring. AWD vehicles are ideal during winter/spring months.

Are the properties accessible? ♿
Riverside has a few steps and a second floor. Red Canoe is a one-level bungalow on a concrete slab.

What are check-in and check-out times? ⌚
Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in/late check-out may be available upon request.

Are pets allowed? 🐾
Yes, with prior approval. It's $30 per pet (max 2) for the stay.

Do you accommodate special occasions? 🎈
Yes! Let us know if you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary or milestone. We would love to help you make it extra special.

Can I smoke at the property? 🚭
Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please use ashtrays or the firepit for disposal of cigarette butts.

Quiet hours? 🔇
From 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of other year-round and seasonal residents.

Are there security cameras? 📹
Yes, there are outdoor cameras at the front entries, backyard, and in off-limits areas (basement, shed and garage). No indoor cameras. All cameras are motion-activated and operational 24/7, including during reservations.

Do you use smart locks? 🔐
Yes! Each property has keyless entry with a personalized code + backup key onsite.

What is the minimum stay? 🌙
We require a 2-night minimum stay during low season and a 3-night minimum stay during high season. We may allow 1-night stays under special circumstances.

What is your cancellation policy? ❌
Platforms will have a moderate cancelation policy. See listing on each platform for more details.

• 100% refund up to 14 days before arrival
• 50% refund up to 7 days before arrival

Is a security deposit required? 💰
No.

Yes! The tap water is safe, and the fridge includes reverse osmosis filtered water and ice.

Is firewood provided? 🔥
Yes! Year-round for both indoor and outdoor fires.

Are there fire restrictions? 🌲
Check the NB Forest Fire Watch during fire season (April to November). Burn restrictions are updated daily at 2:00 pm.

Are kayaks/canoes available? 🛶
Yes! Free access to 5 kayaks + 1 canoe (May to October) with paddles and universal life jackets. Connect with us to agree to our terms and conditions to gain access.

Where is the best place to paddle? 🧭
In front of the retreats which is called West Branch and heading left towards Mill Creek. Beautiful, calm, and beginner friendly.

Do you provide floaties or beach chairs? ⛱️
No, but large beach towels are available.

Is coffee/tea provided? ☕
Absolutely! Included is coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar, honey, flavored syrups, etc. Bring your preferred milk/cream.

What coffee makers are available? ☕

Do you have a BBQ? 🍔
Yes, there is a propane BBQ at each retreat.

Is there propane available? ♨️
Propane is included. Additional propane is available on site.

No, but we are considering adding one in the future.

Is there a dock? ⚓
Yes! Red Canoe includes a private dock.

Do you offer baby gear? 👶
Toddler dinnerware is available at Riverside.

Starlink internet is fast! Cell reception can vary. Turn on Wi-Fi calling on your device.

What if I break something? 🔧
No worries! Please tell us right away so we can fix or replace it.

What happens if the power goes out? ⚡
Let us know! We have a generator on site and NB Power smart meters that notifies them when the power goes out.

How does garbage/recycling work? 🗑️
Use the Sorting Guide and the Accepted Beverage Containers list.
• Blue: Recyclables (paper, cardboard, Styrofoam, metal, aluminum, and most hard plastics)
• Green: Organics (food, napkins, tissues and yard waste)
• Clear: General waste (everything else like glass, soft plastics, household, bathroom and kitchen items)
• Recycling Bin: Beverage containers (All ready-to drink beverage products like water, juices, soft drinks, beer, wine, spirits, coolers, etc.)

• Live: Local fisherman at the Richibucto Wharf
• Cooked: Seafood Market at Pirate de la Mer in Bouctouche or Joe Caissie Seafood in Grande-Digue. Call ahead for availability and pricing.

Are there biking trails nearby? 🚴
Yes! The 5 km Richibucto–Rexton Trail located near Richibucto, New Brunswick is great for cycling. See the trail map for more details.

Can I rent an ATV nearby? 🏍️
Check with Miramichi Guide Services or Wilson’s Sporting Camps, two outfitters that are 1–2 hours away. Visit Quadnb.ca for trail maps, club locations, permits, etc.

Are snowmobile trails nearby? ❄️
Yes, ride right from the property! Visit Snowmobilenb.com for trail maps and more!

Is the river safe for snowshoeing or swimming? 🛷 👙
• Snowshoeing: Yes, when the river is frozen. Check with us first!
• Swimming: Yes, though it’s shallow and mucky. Nearby beaches within a 25-minute drive such as Cap Lumière, Kouchibouguac and La Dune de Bouctouche are more desirable for beach days and swimming.

How bad are the bugs? 🦟
We minimize mosquitos with:
• Yearly property spraying (OnGuard Pro-perm insect killer)
• SkeeterVac trap between both properties
• Screened patio available at Riverside

Do you decorate for holidays? 🎄
Yes! Expect festive touches from November to January for Christmas including a tree and other seasonal decor throughout the year.
